Glow in the Dark Billiards Every Thursday in Santa Clarita: What to Expect at The Break Room SCV's Glow Nights
Thursday nights in Santa Clarita used to be the night nobody made plans for. The weekend felt too far away to commit to anything and too close to waste at home. The Break Room SCV changed that.
Every Thursday from 6 PM to 1 AM, The Break Room transforms into something you are not going to find anywhere else in the Santa Clarita Valley. The lights go down. The glow comes up. And Billiards and Glow Nights officially begins.
It is one of the most unique weekly events in Old Town Newhall and one of the most searched things people are looking for on a Thursday night that nobody has been offering locally. Until now.
What Glow Nights Actually Is
Glow Nights is not a gimmick. It is a fully curated Thursday night experience built around the idea that a midweek night out should feel like something worth showing up for.
From 6 PM to closing, the venue shifts into glow in the dark mode. Pool tables, darts, the bar, the food, all of it takes on a different energy under the glow setup. The atmosphere moves from the laid-back daytime vibe The Break Room is known for into something with more energy, more color, and a soundtrack that keeps the night moving without trying too hard.
The combination of competitive games, ambient lighting, good music, craft cocktails, and a full food menu creates the kind of Thursday night that people start making standing plans around. Groups that discover it once tend to come back weekly. It becomes the night.
Family Friendly First, Then 21 and Up
One of the things that makes Glow Nights unique in the Santa Clarita market is how it handles the transition between early evening and late night.
From 6 PM to 9 PM Glow Nights is fully family friendly. Kids and teens are welcome alongside adults. Families can come out, enjoy the glow experience, grab food from the full menu including the Lil' Breakers kids menu, and play pool or darts in the glow atmosphere together. It is genuinely one of the more creative family night options in the SCV on a weeknight.
After 9 PM the venue transitions to 21 and up, and the energy shifts accordingly. The crowd gets older, the drinks keep flowing, and the night takes on a more social adult atmosphere that runs all the way to 1 AM. It is the same event, same glow, same games, same food, same music, just with a different crowd dynamic that makes the later hours feel like a proper night out.
This dual structure makes Glow Nights one of the most versatile events in Santa Clarita. It works as a family outing from 6 to 9. It works as a date night starting at 9. It works as a group hang for friends who want something to do that is not just another restaurant dinner or another night on the couch.
What to Do at Glow Nights
The anchor activity is billiards. The Break Room has both 7-foot and 9-foot pool tables available and on Thursday nights they are part of the glow experience. Tables are first come, first served during regular hours and on Glow Nights they fill up, arriving early is always recommended if getting a table immediately matters to your group.
While you wait or between games, darts are available with multiple boards throughout the venue. Connect 4 and other games add to the social energy. The bar is fully running with the complete cocktail menu, draft and bottled beer selection, wine, and mocktails for guests who prefer non-alcoholic options.
The full food menu is available throughout Glow Nights during kitchen hours. The smash burger, specialty pizzas, jumbo wings with eleven sauce options, mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers, pretzel bites, sweet potato fries and the entire appetizer lineup are all available for the table. For groups that arrive early in the family-friendly window, the Lil' Breakers kids menu is available as well.
The curated soundtrack runs throughout the night, music chosen to match the energy of the room at each stage of the evening rather than whatever happens to be on a playlist. It is one of those details guests notice even when they cannot name exactly what they noticed.
Why Thursday Specifically
Thursday has become the night that makes the most sense for Glow Nights for a few reasons. It sits at the edge of the weekend close enough to feel like a celebration but early enough that people with Friday commitments can still make it work. The crowd that shows up on Thursdays in the SCV is typically a mix of people who work in service and hospitality and have Thursday as a weekend night, young professionals who like getting ahead of the Friday crowd, families who use weeknight outings as a scheduled family activity, and groups who plan their week around having something worth doing mid-week.
Glow Nights hits all of those groups simultaneously. It is the rare event concept that genuinely works for multiple audiences at once without feeling like it is trying to be everything to everyone.
How to Plan Your Visit
Glow Nights runs every Thursday from 6 PM to 1 AM at The Break Room SCV, located at 22620 Lyons Ave in Old Town Newhall, Santa Clarita, CA 91321.
Family friendly from 6 PM to 9 PM. 21 and up after 9 PM.
Pool tables are available on a first come, first served basis. For Thursdays specifically, arriving between 6 and 7 PM gives you the best chance of getting a table without a wait. As the night progresses into the 8 to 10 PM window tables become harder to secure.
Kitchen hours on Thursdays run noon to 11 PM so the full food menu is available for the majority of the Glow Nights window.
